| The Rundown: Nvidia continues to bring heat to the AI chip game. The company unveiled a new blazing-fast processor called GH200 Grace Hopper Superchip designed for massive AI models at SIGGRAPH 2023. | Key points: | Packed with 141GB of next-gen memory, GH200 can handle huge AI models for nonstop predictions and content creation. Nvidia says the cost of powering LLMs will ‘drop significantly’. The new chip will help Nvidia flex on rivals like AMD, Google, and Amazon trying to take a bite of the lucrative AI silicon market. Nvidia also announced major upgrades to its Omniverse platform, a new AI Workbench for custom enterprise models, and partnerships with Hugging Face and Adobe.
